I cannot describe the things that I’ve seen, but I hope to show you a glimpse of the light, joy, and happiness I have experienced over the last 10 days. This journey into veterinary medicine and conservation has been one of hardship, harsh realities, and culture shock. But more than that, this team, all of us TOGETHER, we made a difference.

I joined Stephanie Arne and eight incredible people on an unforgettable journey to Hoedspruit, South Africa (In partnership with Global Protangonists), where we worked with both white and black rhinos and assisted in anti-poaching efforts by safely dehorning them. This truly was an extraordinary adventure, and I feel so thankful and so blessed to have been part of it. One week with you all felt like finding family I didn’t know I had.
None of this would’ve happened without Stephanie Arne.

Having the opportunity to travel around South Africa with Steph and her partners, Global Protagonists, was truly eye-opening. Not only did it give me a harsh reality check on the true nature of wildlife conservation, but for the first time in a while, I felt like myself. I felt freer, I felt connected to the planet, and I met some incredible people. While there, my group participated in some translocations of various antelope species across different private reserves, as well as rhino dehorning. I can't thank Stephanie Arne enough for leading the trip and bringing an astounding amount of value to the experience.
