Hello ladies,
Michele Hoffman Trotter and Stephanie Arne would like to personally welcome adventurous women and lovers of all things nature and wild on a very special (and intimate) Alaskan experience focused on learning, the great outdoors, and female bonding. We selected May as the window for this trip because it is the height of killer whale viewing season, and for those who don’t know it yet…killer whales are a matriarchal society, so we thought, what could be more appropriate?
Our adventure's base camp is Michele’s home, known as The Loon’s Nest (for reasons we will share on the trip)! Most meals, learning sessions, and talk sessions will occur in this warm and intimate setting. Each morning, you will be greeted with home-baked bread or muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, assorted hot and cold cereals, and a hot dish with coffee, tea, milk, or juice.
During your adventure, you will have the opportunity to learn about nature and ecology from certified experts, build confidence in outdoor environments, and, most importantly, bond with like-minded women! This itinerary was crafted with a range of ability levels in
mind, so if you are not an avid hiker or experienced outdoorswoman, there is no need to fear; we have excitement for all skill levels!
It is critical to remember Seward is a rainforest ecosystem and that it rains there… A LOT. Therefore it is critical to carefully check over the list of suggested apparel and plan accordingly. It also means some of the planned activities may have to be moved around
depending on the weather, so please be prepared to be flexible.
